HDZ BiH President Dragan Čović announced that official talks with representatives of other political parties on forming ruling majorities at cantonal, entity and state levels would start tomorrow, adding that Croatian political representatives were ready to complete this work by the end of 2022.
According to him, due to changes in the Bosnia and Herzegovina Election Law, the national structure of some office holders in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is changing to some extent.
“Until now it was normal for the Prime Minister and the Speaker of the House of Representatives to be from the same nation, but now this is no longer possible. In any case, HDZ BiH together with its HNS partners is ready to quickly implement the election result. We have taken the position that we will definitely form the government this year in all cantons, both entities and the Council of Ministers, that we will adopt budgets at all these levels, that we will will thus show a step forward compared to the existing situation in the functioning of the executive and legislative authorities,” said the President of HDZ BiH.
Čović announced that he will hold his first official talks on Tuesday in Mostar with the representatives of the eight political parties that signed the agreement on the formation of the parliamentary majority at all levels in BiH, led by the SDP BiH, the People, Justice and Our Party, reports the Fena news agency.
