The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco has announced the appointment of Stacy Watkins, President and CEO of Lexicon Bank, to its Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council (CDIAC). Watkins is one of five new members expected to join the Board effective January 1, 2022.

President and CEO, Lexicon Bank

Ms. Watkins has been President and CEO of Lexicon Bank since 2020. She has over 28 years of experience in the banking industry, including 25 years in management and 18 years in a regional leadership role. Watkins will be the sole representative from the Nevada council. That achievement is preceded by Watkins’ acceptance earlier this year at the Nevada Forum of the International Women’s Forum, where she joins a preeminent roster of just over 100 women in Nevada.

“It is an incredible honor to be selected for this Board and to continue to make an impact within the banking industry,” said Watkins. “I am incredibly grateful and touched for the appointment and the opportunities that accompany it, especially in highlighting Lexicon Bank and the Nevada business community behind it. “

Since joining Lexicon Bank, Watkins has made a significant contribution to the continued growth and success of the Bank, including leading efforts to support small businesses and organizations throughout Nevada. As President and CEO, Stacy oversees all facets of the Lexicon Bank team, client services, operations, business lending initiatives, further develops business and community partnerships and helps strengthen the overall community awareness. Driven by her sense of service and the Bank’s commitment to community prosperity, Stacy presented the Lexicon Bank Community Spotlight program, a monthly initiative that highlights local nonprofits making a difference in the community of Southern Nevada and connects them with banking partners and clients to help them support their missions.

Ms. Watkins is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada and is currently Co-Chair of the Family Gifts Division. She is also proud to be a member of the NV Corporate Giving Foundation, the Vegas Chamber Executive Women’s Council, the Vegas Chamber President’s Club and the Nevada Bankers Association. Stacy is a past winner of Las Vegas Woman Fearless Females, Las Vegas Business Press Women Who Mean Business, and Vegas Inc.’s Top 40 Under 40.

The Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, established in 2010 by the Board of Governors, is a group that represents banks, savings institutions and credit unions of various sizes in the Twelfth District. The Board provides commentary to senior management of the Bank on a variety of topics, including economic and banking conditions, regulatory policies, payment matters and other matters of interest to community depositories. Members generally serve three-year terms.
