Abbey Mortgage Bank’s 30th Annual General Meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday July 19, 2022 at its head office in Lagos.

In a statement, the bank said that as one of only seven national Primary Mortgage Banks (PMBs) licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Abbey Mortgage Bank continued to lead the sector as an innovator in Nigeria. mortgage industry.

The release notes that the bank has achieved the feat by offering mortgage services as well as retail and investment banking solutions, positioning itself as a one-stop-shop for all domestic banking needs.

Chief Executive, Mobolaji Adewunmi, said: “2021 has been a pivotal and redefining year for Abbey, as we have worked strategically to return the institution to a path of sustainable profitability.

Adewunmi said the bank believes this is just the tip of the iceberg, as forecasting, transformation and planned technology and innovation strategies in the short to medium term are expected to drive earnings and shareholder returns.

These will form the basis of discussions at this year’s AGM, he noted.

Other items on the agenda, according to the press release, would include: the report of the board of directors on the activities of the company during the past financial year, the adoption of the audited annual report 2021, the proposal for distribution of profits as recorded in the adopted annual report, the proposed amount of dividends to be distributed or the proposal to cover losses, among others.

The general meeting will be broadcast live on the bank’s social media platforms, the statement added.

This year marks the Abbey’s 30th year of service in making mortgages, housing, finance and investments easier for Nigerians.
